From:Paul Barclay Subject:November 1st Errata Followup - Oracle errors Date:Wed, 17 Nov 1999 21:51:33 +0000 The November 1st Oracle files contain some serious errors, that affect the Extended environment. The affected cards are: Coral Atoll, Dormant Volcano, Everglades, Jungle Basin, Karoo (all from Visions) and Necropotence (from Ice Age and 5th Edition. Corrected wordings for all six cards can be found below, as can the correct wording for Library of Leng, which was posted incorrectly yesterday. I again apologise for any inconvenience this causes to players. Paul Barclay MTG-L NetRep (paul@second-hand.demon.co.uk) Play Coral Atoll, and the other Mirage lands that work like it as if they read: |~ comes into play tapped. |If ~ would come into play, return an untapped island you |control to its owner's hand instead. If you do, put ~ into |play. If you don't, put it into its owner's graveyard. |T: Add U and one colorless mana to your mana pool. (The wording in Oracle is incorrect, and should not be used in DCI sanctioned tournament play) Play Necropotence as if it read: |Skip your draw step. |If you would discard a card from your hand, remove that card from the |game ** instead. |Pay 1 life: Set aside the top card of your library *face down*. At the |end of your turn, put that card into your hand. (The wording in Oracle is incorrect, and should not be used in DCI sanctioned tournament play - the words "face down" appear in the wrong ability) Library of Leng's full wording is: |You have no maximum hand size limit. |If a spell or ability forces you to discard a card, discard it, but you |may put it on top of your library instead of into your graveyard. (I missed the first line from the last post - its wording is correct, if a little weird, in Oracle) Paul. - ------------------------------------------------------------------- - - Paul Barclay -- paul@second-hand.demon.co.uk -- Mobile: 0958-980180 - - DCI Level III judge -- http://www.second-hand.demon.co.uk/index.htm - - Official MTG-L Network Representative for Wizards of the Coast, Inc -
